The host of a local radio show approached me with a sketch of an idea for a sticker. He wanted to combine the Flag of Cascadia with a record and add some vibes of the Pacific Northwest.

Looking at his rough sketch above, he was planning on making round stickers. As I started fleshing out ideas, I realized that the design should incorporate a log-shape, with record grooves in the middle giving it a distinct Pacific Northwest feel. I also convinced him to spring for a die cut instead of a circle cut for the sticker.
